Appointment of Consultant
Saindak Metals Limited intends to construct SML Head Office Building on its own plot of land measuring 20,293 sq. ft. For this purpose applications are invited for appointment of a Technical Consultant from highly reputed and experienced Architectural / Civil Engineering Oonsultant. Firms, duly registered with both P.E.C and P.C.A.T.P and having proven ability in the field of Construction of Office Buildings.
The applicant should submit the following information supported by the unambiguous documents.
1. Full name of the firm along with complete address, telephone and fax numbers.
2. Registration with Pakistan Engineering Council in the appropriate category, relevant specialty, renewed upto 31-12-2011.
3. Standing / experience of the firm, starting date of establishment and number of similar works executed with cost and consultancy fee.
4. Key / technical personnel proposed to be deputed in the project at planning / design stage and detailed supervision along with their CVs, academic qualification, experience and registration with professional regulatory bodies.
5. Financial reputation from various banks.
6. Company profile.
7. Technical and Financial Proposal / Bids may be submitted in separate sealed envelopes addressed to the undersigned, uptill 08-09-2011 and bids will be opened before the representatives of the parties on the same date at 12:00 noon.
TERMS OF REFERENCE (TORs)
1. Technical & Financial Proposal supervision services, planning, architectural design, incorporating internal & external services, landscaping, drainage, sewerage and ancillary facilities on the basis of client’s requirement.
2. Feasibility studies and sub-soil investigation at the consultant’s cost from reputed testing laboratories.
3. Structural design and development of construction drawing.
4. Formulation of specifications.
5. Preparation of bill of quantities (BOQs), bids, documents and conditions of the contract etc.
6. Preparation of the PC-1 and detailed cost estimate with processing till approval by the approving forum.
7. Preparation of variation orders, verification of contractor’s bills, quality control and other related jobs as entrusted to them by the employer.
8. Detailed supervision services during construction of the project till completion of the work with qualified staff at site, headed by an Engineer of outstanding stature and experience for the work.
